Discovery Bay Community Foundation (DBCF) was formed to build and strengthen our community by bringing people and organizations together that want to make a difference. We are a tax-exempt public charity that raise funds and are dedicated to improving the quality of life in Discovery Bay.
The Discovery Bay Community Foundation was founded in 2014 by several residents in Discovery Bay who realized there was more help needed with serving their community as other service groups, local, county and state agencies are serving specific needs but not all needs. A 501(c (3) tax exempt public charity was formed and their work began immediately. DBCF goal is to identify the needs and concerns of our community and work together to resolve them.
Simply put, the Discovery Bay Community Foundation improves the quality of life for the citizens of Discovery Bay and their succeeding generations. How? We receive gifts from people who care, we invest these gifts forever, and we use the investment earnings to make grants each year to local charities. We connect local generosity with local needs.
